The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has a packed London season of concerts. Other promoters also frequently employ the RPO to perform. In addition to its concert commitments, the orchestra undertakes recording sessions as well as an extensive programme of community and education work.
It’s not surprising then that the RPO upgraded its phone system
to a Panasonic S-ICX digital hybrid model.
“Previously, we had a Panasonic DBS system,” said Bettina Deuse, RPO ‘s Office Manager, “and we were very happy with that but we found that we had got to the stage where we required the extra facilities offered by S-lCX. The features we mainly wanted were increased flexibility in the areas of ISDN compatibility, direct dialling and voice mail.”
“When staff are out at concerts, recording sessions and the like, it’s vital for them to be able to just dial in and pick up their messages quickly and simply and the S-lCX allows them to do just that.”
“Another handy feature that we tend to use quite a lot is caller line identification. The new handsets that we got when we bought the system allow us to see who is calling before we answer enabling a much more personal response.”
